About Me

Hello!

My name is Chanley Ferguson, and I am a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods (ACCEND) student at the University of Houston striving to become a Registered Dietitian with a specialty in Eating Disorders.

Growing up I had major food insecurities and suffered from multiple eating disorders including Binge Eating and Anorexia Nervosa. After many years of recovery from this, I discovered my passion for nutrient and my desire to guide others through their own recovery.

Goals & Dreams

Become a Registered Dietitian

The first step of achieving my career goals is by finishing my bachelor's degree though UH, obtaining a dietetic internship, and passing the CDR to obtain my license.

Gain Experience and Get Specialized

Once I have received my licenses and am officially a registered dietitian, I want to gain experience not only as a RD but in eating disorders by working at a facility like Center for Discovery or We All Eat. By doing this, it will help me establish myself as a RD and help me to achieve a specialty in EDs.

Start a Private Practice

Once I have my license and experience in the world of dietetics, I would love to start my own private practice. In this practice I want to specialize in eating disorders and help people to cope with the difficulties of their disorder and find food freedom. I also want to promote Health At Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, all food fit, joyful movement, and positive body image.
